The following resources are various groups and societies that assist the aging and their loved ones in gaining knowledge about the process, learning how it affects individuals, and understanding how best to cope with the changes it brings.
American Society On Aging - The American Society on Aging is an association committed to enhancing the knowledge and skills of those who seek to improve the quality of life for the aging persons in their lives.
Administration On Aging - The Administration on Aging is a division of the Department of Health & Human Services. It is committed to helping the elderly maintain their dignity and independence through comprehensive, coordinated, and cost effective systems of long term care.
National Institute on Aging - National Institute on Aging - NIA is a part of the NIH and leads a broad scientific effort to understand the nature of aging. NIA is the primary Federal agency on Alzheimer’s disease research.
Alzheimer’s Disease Resources
The following resources are meant to help the families and sufferers of Alzheimer’s disease cope with the effects and continue to live to the fullest.
Alzheimer’s Association - The Alzheimer’s Association is an exceptional voluntary health organization in Alzheimer care, support, and research. They seek to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through advancement of research, but until they are successful they seek to enhance care and support for all affected as well as reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
Alzheimer’s Foundation - AFA members are dedicated to aiding individuals with Alzheimer's disease and related illnesses, and their caregivers and families.

National Family Caregivers Association - The National Family Caregivers Association is an organization that seeks to educate, support, and empower the more than 50 million Americans who care for loved ones with a chronic illness or disability or the frailties of old age.
Children Of Aging Parents - Children of Aging Parents - CAPS assists the nation's nearly 54 million caregivers of the elderly or chronically ill with reliable information, referrals and support, and works to heighten public awareness that the health of the family caregivers is essential to ensure quality care of the nation's growing elderly population.

MedLine Plus - Medline Plus is a service of the National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health. Symptoms, Research, Financial Issues, and CareGiver resources can be found here, sometimes in Spanish and other languages.
Family Caregiver Alliance - FCA's National Center on Caregiving (NCC) works to advance the development of high-quality, cost-effective policies and programs for caregivers. Uniting research, public policy and services, the NCC serves as a central source of information on caregiving and long-term care issues for policy makers, service providers, and family caregivers.
